A little preparation helps your exterior cleaning appointment run smoothly. Use this checklist, then confirm any questions with us before your scheduled visit.
Before we arrive
Clear the cleaning areas
Move outdoor furniture, rugs, toys, decorations, and planters away from the surfaces being cleaned. If your driveway is included, move vehicles, bicycles, and trailers to a permitted location outside the work area. Let us know beforehand if you need help planning access.
Close windows and doors
Close and latch windows and exterior doors. Tell us about leaks, damaged seals, loose siding, or other areas where water could enter. Do not block dryer vents, HVAC intakes, or exhaust openings yourself; discuss these with us so protection can be planned appropriately.
Provide access and share concerns
Confirm access to an exterior water spigot and the agreed cleaning areas. Tell us about delicate plants, outlets, lighting, cameras, coatings, repairs, or areas with heavy staining. Photos and a text beforehand are helpful if you will not be home.
During your cleaning appointment
Plan around the work area
Keep children and pets away from the active cleaning area. Cleaning products require appropriate handling and precautions; do not assume every product is harmless to plants or animals. Ask us about the products and care steps for your appointment.
Confirm timing and whether you need to be home
Service duration depends on the property, scope, condition, and weather. We will discuss an estimated window when scheduling. You may not need to be home if access and communication have been arranged with us in advance.
After the service
Wait for the area to be ready
Follow the completion guidance for your job before walking on treated areas or returning furniture. Drying varies with weather and material, and wet surfaces may be slippery. Keep pets and children away until the area is ready for use.
Planning to stain or seal?
Wood and concrete can retain moisture after they appear dry. Follow the coating manufacturer’s drying and moisture requirements before painting, staining, or sealing. A fixed number of hours is not suitable for every surface or product.
Review the result
Look over the agreed cleaning areas and contact us with questions. Some stains, weathering, or existing damage may remain; cleaning does not replace repairs.
